If you are an early to mid-day park visitor, you may have noticed these flowers! š If you visit in the afternoon or evening, you will have missed them all together. These are the flowers of Virginia Spiderwort - which individually, don't last long, but continue to flower until the worst of the summer heat arrives and then often again sporadically in the fall!

Gardenias - the quintessential Southern flower! You can find these in many of the Hurley Park Gardens, but the best place to enjoy their delicate scent in abundance is in the Haden Holmes Hurley Gazebo.

Have you seen it yet? The Kousa Dogwood is an eye-catching bloomer near the corner of Annandale and N Craige Street! These non-native Dogwoods flower later than our native Dogwood and the bright white blooms definitely stand out against the green leaves and Carolina blue skies.

The hummingbirds are returning and we are ready! The Cross-vine on the arbor by the pond is a native plant that feeds the hummingbirds as they arrive.
