Despite the rain, this year’s Into the Light: Su***de & Mental Health Awareness Walk was a success thanks to the incredible support of our community!

Thank you to everyone who braved the weather and joined us. From participants and volunteers to community partners and supporters, your dedication helped create a meaningful morning centered on awareness, connection, remembrance, and hope.

Rain or shine, our community came together to take another step toward breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and reminding our neighbors that no one has to walk alone.

We’re grateful to everyone who helped make this event possible and to those who continue to support mental health resources throughout Rowan County.

Thanks to the generosity and dedication of our incredible volunteers, over 500 Angels were served through the Christmas Bureau!

The Christmas Bureau is a collaborative effort between The Salvation Army of Rowan County, NC, Rowan County United Way, Project Santa, and the Salisbury Post’s Christmas Happiness, working together to bring joy and hope to children and families throughout Rowan County.

A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who gave their time to serve at The Salvation Army. Your kindness, hard work, and willingness to give back helped make the holiday season brighter for so many families.
