What an exciting Homecoming night for Wi-Hi at County Stadium on Thursday! After leading 20 - 7 at the half, the Tribe football team needed a last-minute touchdown pass with 21 seconds to play to knock off visiting Kent Island 26 - 20! The Indians improve to 6 - 1 on the season.

It was during halftime; the 2026 Homecoming King and Queen were announced. Treasure Scott and Elijah Carroll took home the senior crowns. Check out the video!

Starlight School Night — A Family Learning Extravaganza is coming soon!

Join us Tuesday, October 20 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Junior Achievement Center (301 Tilghman Rd., Salisbury, MD 21804) for a fun night of learning and family fun!

Visit information tables about learning opportunities in our schools. Explore hands-on STEM activities, create art, enjoy student performances, visit the UMES STEM Mobile Lab and watch the Young Business Leaders make their pitch and take the LEGO challenge. Boxed dinners will be provided (while supplies last). Interpreters will be available.

Come explore, play, and learn together at Starlight School Night!

YOUR FUTURE. YOUR GOALS. YOUR PLAN.

The Six-Year Plan is coming to WCPS "middle and high schools" this November!
This November, every WCPS middle and high school will designate one schoolwide day for students in grades 6–12 to complete their Six-Year Plan during class.

The goal isn't for students to have their entire future figured out. It's to help them explore their interests and strengths, think about their goals, and connect the choices they're making today with where they may want to go next.

Every secondary student will participate.
Students will complete their plan during class.
Students who are absent will have an opportunity to complete their plan with their school's Career Coach.
Schools will share their specific implementation date, directions, and informational videos with students and families.

As students grow and change, their Six-Year Plan should grow with them!

A Superintendent's Open Door Session will take place from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 7. Time with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Micah Stauffer is on a first-come, first-served basis, at the school system's main office at 2424 Northgate Drive, Salisbury.

The next monthly meeting of the Wicomico County Board of Education is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 13, 2026, in the Board of Education Auditorium at 101 Long Ave., Salisbury.

For this Board meeting, the Board will convene at 1:00 p.m. and immediately vote to go into closed session. The open portion of the meeting will begin at about 1:30 p.m. The agenda for this meeting is available at https://wicomico-schools.community.highbond.com/Portal/

To register for public comments, please visit the pre-registration page (https://board_public_comments.wicomicoschools.org/), which is open from October 6 - 12. Anyone unable to pre-register online may visit the school system office at 2424 Northgate Drive during business hours to fill out a paper copy of the pre-registration form.
