Well the day has come...
We have reached the closing date of this 1920 American Foursquare. There’s a deep sense of pride mixed with sadness. My seller took this home from near-forgotten condition and brought it back to life through a thoughtful, full restoration that honored its history and character. Watching it find new owners is bittersweet, saying goodbye isn’t easy, but it’s the natural next chapter for a house that has been so lovingly revived. Its story will continue, beautifully preserved, in the hands of those who now get to call it theirs.
As the listing agent, I didn’t just put this historic 1920 American Foursquare on the MLS and hope for the best, I worked it. We (my team and I) strategically listed it across multiple MLS platforms, partnered with a national historic-home website to reach buyers beyond our local market, and hosted open houses timed perfectly with events in the historic district to capture the right audience. My seller also put in the extra effort, adding thoughtful staging details that made a big impact and helped buyers truly see the home’s potential.
This sale was the result of intention, collaboration, and doing the work it takes to get a special home in front of the right buyer.
I will miss this beautiful home so much and I do have a twinge of jealousy that someone else gets to call it home. BUT I am OVERJOYED for my seller and the buyers!

There’s just something magical about the holidays in an older home…
The way the wooden floors remember every step of celebration.
How the fireplaces glow as if they’ve seen a hundred Christmas mornings before.
The tall windows inviting in the soft winter light, making ornaments sparkle a little brighter.
This Historic American Foursquare was built for moments like these...
where garlands drape over original mantels,
where laughter echoes up the grand staircase,
and where timeless craftsmanship becomes part of the holiday joy.
Here, history doesn’t sit quietly in the corners.
It wraps itself around you like a warm blanket,
reminding you that traditions are kept alive by the people who gather inside these walls.
