Gold Cross Ambulance was honored on May 21, 2025 by Governor Spencer Cox and the Utah Department of Public Safety Bureau of EMS for pioneering Utah’s first paramedic program. Gene Moffitt, Chairman of the Board and Mike Moffitt, President, were honored for recognizing the need for advanced pre- hospital care over 50 years ago. Working with other healthcare providers, Gold Cross established a program delivering hospital level care in emergencies. This initial reshaped Utah’s emergency medical systems, improving patient outcomes and setting the standard for coordinated lifesaving field care.

Dispatchers are often the first point of contact in an emergency, and their hard work and dedication, day after day, is immensely appreciated. If you know someone working in a dispatch or telecommunications center serving your community, we encourage you to reach out and thank them!
"Thank you, again, for all the sacrifices you make to create a better and safer world for the public. Your commitment to your profession is appreciated by all of APCO International, the public safety communications community, and the citizens you serve."
