This week, the U.S. Attorney's Office, Utah Department of Public Safety, FBI Salt Lake City, and the Salt Lake County District Attorney's Office held the 5th Annual Faith and Culture Safety and Security Symposium on SLC's Capitol Hill.

Preventing violence requires a collective commitment, and this event brought together Utah's faith leaders, school administrators, law enforcement, and security experts to share knowledge and build safer communities. Together, we can all make a difference.

🏆The U.S. Attorney’s Office was honored for being an Outstanding Justice Partner to the Navajo Nation’s Office of the Prosecutor. The award was presented by the Chief Prosecutor, Vernon L. Jackson, to AUSA Sam Pead, Tribal Liasson, who is pictured below with Navajo Nation Prosecuting Attorney Kevin Barnett. Mr. Barnett regularly partners with the U.S. Attorney’s Office on cases and was awarded the Chief Prosecutor’s Award for Excellence.

We deeply value our partnership with the Navajo Nation. This recognition highlights the growing collaboration between our offices as prosecutors work together to advance justice and achieve outcomes that benefit the Navajo Nation.
