On this solemn day, we remember the heroes who selflessly responded to the tragic events of 9/11 and honor the memory of those who tragically lost their lives. Let us honor their memory by standing together, united in our commitment to freedom, liberty, and the American spirit.

What a Convention! The Utah Republican Party held a successful organizing convention to determine leadership for the next two years. For the second straight term, our entire State Party Leadership Team is made of Young Republicans! A huge congrats to Robert Axson Jordan Hess, Stafford and McKay Newell for their wins. A special congratulations to McKay who has served as our National Committeeman these past two years being elected as Treasurer with 74% of the vote. With the filing date for party officer positions upon us, we want to highlight a UYR candidate for State Party Chair who has done a lot for our organization these past two years. As Treasurer of the State Party, Mike Bird played a crucial role in regaining UYRs our official auxiliary status with the State Party, essentially helping fulfill our strategic goal of having a seat at the table. As a fellow Millennial, Mike understands the need to strengthen the party through targeted outreach to younger voters. Utah Young Republicans is proud to promote Mike and all the other Young Republicans running for party officer positions this Spring!

Happy Presidents’ Day everyone! Highlighting just a few of the great Republican presidents we have had over the years. Whether keeping the Union together, creating our national parks system, or winning the Cold War, these men serve as reminders of why we are Republicans and what is possible within this great country of ours.
