The time has come! Our Spring Mini Book Fair is here! Click here to see the book fair hours, some of the books that will be available to buy, and how to set up an eWallet for your child to be able to shop on their own. https://www.scholastic.com/bf/washingtonstars

Hi Washington Families,
It's Book Fair time! I will be holding a mini book fair (only 3 days) next week after school on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (April 15-17). It will only be open for an hour after school each day. For students who cannot shop the book fair after school, there will be times during the school day on Tuesday and Thursday when they can come shop. I recommend setting up an eWallet for your child so they don't have to carry cash with them. Click on this link to view our Book Fair homepage, which has a digital flyer of some of the books that will be for sale, instructions on how to set up an eWallet and even online shopping. https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/washingtonstars
**Also, I'm always looking for volunteers to help run the book fair. If you are interested in helping, please fill out this form: https://forms.office.com/r/Cpd5mMuUHC
Thanks for your support!

π Washington Stars of the Week! π
This week weβre shining the spotlight on two amazing members of our school community:
π‘ Mr. Castillo, 6th Grade MELP Teacher β Always thinking outside the box, Mr. Castillo brings creativity and passion to the classroom. His innovative approach keeps students engaged, inspired, and excited to learn every day!
π οΈ Dakota, our IT Wizard β Whether it's a glitchy laptop, a stubborn smartboard, or a projector on the fritz, Dakota works his magic behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly. Weβd be lost without him!
Thank you both for making Washington a better place to learn and grow!

Mark Walton, Disney illustrator and storyboard artist, was an AMAZING guest speaker today in Mrs. Lawrenceβs kindergarten class. He shared how his art journey began in kindergarten, inspired by supportive parents and teachers. Mark engaged students by drawing characters from his book *I Eat P**p* and his work on *Super Mario* and *Tangled*. He talked about the creative process, hard work, and perseverance, even voicing Rhino the hamster in *Bolt*! One inspired student said they couldn't wait to create their own illustrations. Thank you, Mark, for inspiring our kindergartners!
