Partnership Spotlight 🌟 Skill Builders ABA

Through our partnership with Skill Builders ABA we are able to expand access to Applied Behavior Analysis services for children with autism in our programs. 🧩

Skill Builders has a strong focus on onsite support. Our collaboration includes 1:1 support from their Registered Behavior Technicians for children with autism directly in the classroom setting. This allows children to receive the support they need in their natural learning environment, helps teachers build confidence in supporting diverse learners, and reduces the likelihood of families losing access to care due to behavioral challenges.

Skill Builders focuses on reducing barriers to care, connecting families with services as quickly as possible, and meeting them where they are. They do not have a waitlist and accept Medicaid and most major insurance plans, helping families access support without unnecessary delays.

Through relationship-building and community collaboration, we both strive to ensure families can access high-quality services that honor their unique circumstances and needs. 💛

Our preschoolers got a chance to walk the stage, perform some songs and have some treats. 🎉

We are so proud of our kiddos for reaching this milestone and can’t wait to see what they do in kindergarten. 🌟

Volunteers worked hard to get 83 bikes ready for our busy summer ahead. 🚲✨

They pumped tires, replaced tubes and tightened brakes.

They also worked hard to clean and organize our outdoor sheds.

We are so appreciative of their time to ensure our kids have safe and reliable bikes to use this summer. ☀️

Our School Age Program made a strong commitment to incorporating literacy into children’s daily experiences throughout the school year. 📚

Using Beanstack to track their reading time, our School Age students logged an impressive total of 32,325 minutes this year! 🎉📖🌟

We are incredibly proud of this outstanding achievement and hope we have helped foster a lasting love of reading in each of them. ❤️

Last week we held our Sensory Wellness night! 🌟

Families were invited to come participate in sensory activities to practice motor skills and encourage mental well-being.

We had so much fun squishing shaving cream, making sensory bottles, going through obstacle courses and splashing in sensory tables.

We’d also like to extend a big thank you to Skill Builders ABA for sponsoring this awesome event and sharing your resources with our families. 🩵

We would like to thank the Salt Lake City chapter of the National Charity League for generously sponsoring a classroom here at Neighborhood House! 🖍️📓✏️

Members of NCL personally delivered the supplies to the classroom, where both our teachers and students were excited to receive them. 🎉 ❤️

Recently we gathered at our celebration of life to honor former Neighborhood House clients. 🌿

We are deeply grateful to the families, friends and staff who came out to remember and reflect on the lives of their loved ones. 🦋

It is an honor to have been a part of each person’s unique story. 🤍

Last Friday, we partnered with Ability Inclusion Services and Columbus to host our annual prom! 🪩

We are incredibly grateful to Ability Inclusion Services for welcoming us and our clients into their space, and we extend a special thank you to PACS for sponsoring this meaningful community event.

We're also grateful for all of the volunteers who helped with set-up, glam, serving food, take-down and more. We couldn't have done it without you.

This year’s “Under the Sea” theme came to life through beautiful décor that created a truly whimsical atmosphere. 🌊🐠🪸🪼

The evening was filled with laughter, great food, dancing, and plenty of fun. We're already looking forward to doing it again. 🩵🧡
