Over the last year, many people stopped going to the doctor because of the COVID-19 pandemic. But it’s still important to get the health care you need.
Ask your doctor if you’re due for a cancer screening test. If so, ask how to get it.
Know your body. If something doesn’t feel right, call your doctor’s office. You may be able to talk to your doctor online, by phone, or through e-mail.

Clinics and doctor's offices have been taking extra precautions since the beginning of the pandemic and are safe for you to go get screened for cervical cancer. There is no reason any woman should get cervical cancer. Pap tests can find abnormal cells BEFORE they turn into cancer.

Have you been screened for lung cancer?
Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in the United States. Treatment for lung cancer can be more effective if the cancer is found at an early stage.
This study found that 87.5% of adults who met screening criteria reported not receiving a CT scan to check for lung cancer in the last 12 months. Annual lung cancer screening is recommended for adults age 55-80 years old who currently smoke now or those who have quit within the past 15 years and have a 30 pack-year smoking history. A pack-year is smoking an average of one pack of ci******es per day for one year.
