Thank you to everyone who joined us for JFS’ 4th Annual Arts & Aging Celebration! From the Gleeful Choir to the artists in our Exploring Creativity class, you showed that creativity truly knows no age.
A special thank you to our Arts & Aging Coordinator, Emily Christensen, for her passion and leadership, and to the Sorenson Unity Center for hosting us for the fourth year.

Ways to be a visible ally during Pride Month-Allyship is about showing up visibly, consistently, and meaningfully for LGBTQ+ communities.
At the individual level, you can:
• Educate yourself on LGBTQ+ history, issues, and experiences
• Speak up when you see misinformation or harmful stereotypes
• Use correct pronouns consistently
• Amplify LGBTQ+ voices and stories rather than speaking over them
• Share your own commitment: “I’m an ally because _____”
At the community level, you can:
• Advocate for inclusive policies for LGBTQ+ and trans people in schools and workplaces
• Attend Pride events, marches, or community gatherings as a visible supporter
• Support LGBTQ+ owned businesses and creators
• Encourage your organization or school to adopt inclusive practices and protections

This simple mindfulness exercise engages your senses and can help reduce stress, calm anxious thoughts, and increase awareness of your surroundings.
