This month: Start a Conversation. Be the Difference.

September is National Su***de Prevention Month - a month to highlight the importance of connecting with people and the resources available for preventing su***de. It's a time to remember those affected by su***de also. Please take a moment and have a conversation with your Soldiers.

With one conversation, asking someone how they’re really doing — and being ready to truly listen — can save lives. Because here’s what we know: No one has to face this alone. Help exists. Healing is possible. And all it can take is for one person to start a conversation.
***dePrevention #988

Here’s what you can do:
• Ask directly: “Are you thinking about harming yourself?”
• Keep them safe: Limit access to lethal means.
• Listen actively: Let them share without judgment.
• Connect them to help: Dial 988, press 1, or text 838255.

In a time-honored military tradition, CPT Glenda Hernandez assumed command of the 146th Transportation Company during a Change of Command Ceremony earlier this month, with MAJ Muse standing in on behalf of the outgoing commander, CPT Peter Manibusan.

We welcome CPT Hernandez as she takes the helm and thank CPT Manibusan for his service and leadership.
