A big thank you to Jamie Issowits for her incredible leadership as Women United's Executive Council Chair! 💙 She leads with compassion and kindness in everything she does and has helped build a group of women who truly show up for their community.

We're so grateful Jamie will continue her leadership on the United Way of Salt Lake Board and step into the role of Vice Chair starting July 1st.

We were honored to be recognized by the Salt Lake Chamber with the Methuselah Star at the "Under One Sky" America250 Utah Awards Gala ⭐🎉

Named after one of the oldest known stars in the Milky Way, the Methuselah Star honors Utah businesses and organizations that have reached an extraordinary milestone — 100 years or more of operation. Founded in 1904, the longevity of our organization reflects "not only endurance, but leadership, resilience and a lasting contribution to our communities and our state." 💙

Power of Your Purse 2026 was one for the books.

Thanks to our incredible donors, sponsors, and attendees, this year's sold out gala raised $361,349.44, exceeding our goal and making a real impact for Utah kids and families.

280 tickets sold, a packed room, and virtual silent auction bidders from home. The support was truly unmatched. Funds raised through the silent auction and paddle raise will directly support Promise Baby & You and the Deborah S. Bayle Scholarship Fund for Youth.

Last Monday we gathered to celebrate some really exciting progress in early literacy for Utah kids and families and we are so proud of how far we've come 💙

Here's a look at what we celebrated together:

🌱 The launch of The Basics Utah, supporting families during the early years of childhood development
👶 Promise Baby & You has served more than 150 families and seeded 151 my529 college savings accounts for graduates so far
📈 An expanded Promise Baby & You program now reaching 300 additional families in more communities
🎒 60 family learning kits assembled to support future Promise Baby & You cohorts

A huge thank you to Christine Ivory and the Ivory Foundation for their passion and dedication to education in Utah. Every step forward brings us closer to 80% of third graders reading on grade level by 2030 🙌

Your generosity helps provide seeded my529 college savings accounts for children whose families complete the 9-week workshop series. In addition to offering an incentive for families to attend the sessions and gain skills and knowledge to support their child's development, the my529 accounts make a huge difference in setting their child up for educational success. 🎓💰
