Having a life jacket nearby is not the same as wearing one.
Nearly 90% of boating-related accident victims were not wearing a life jacket. Please wear yours this summer - for your family, for yourself and for the first responders who may have to come looking for you.
Recreate responsibly. Wear it, Utah.

So far this year, 85% of over 230 wildfires have been human-caused.
We can all do our part by following local fire restrictions and using our Fire Sense.
Drought conditions create more fuels for fires to burn more rapidly.
Please stay safe, don't park on dry grass, don't target shoot with windy and dry conditions.
Again, CHECK FIRE RESTRICTIONS IN YOUR AREA!!!!
Fire sense is common sense. Have fun this summer, but stay safe for you and others.
Our firefighters risk their lives to keep us safe, use your fires sense to keep them safe.

continue thriving despite these challenges.
Available Resources Include:

By supporting our producers, we protect Utah’s food security, watersheds, and working
lands. ️🌾

For National Dinosaur Day, we're throwing it back to the summer of 1979, when an employee gave the giant Ornithomimus statue a cleaning in the Dinosaur Garden at the Utah Field House of Natural History State Park Museum in Vernal. 🦖
Many of the garden’s iconic dinosaur sculptures were created in the early 1960s by Elbert H. Porter, who taught art and sculpture at The University of Utah from 1947–1962. Although they were first displayed near Salt Lake City, the dinosaur statues were later purchased by the state and moved to Vernal.

Forgot your life jacket? No problem!
Utah’s Division of Outdoor Recreation has updated their loaner lifejacket stations so all recreators can enjoy Utah’s beautiful state parks this summer while staying safe ⛵
Slow down, breathe deep, and go outside when possible.

With such dry conditions, wildfire risk will be very high this summer.
Remember, if target shooting, don't shoot outdoors on hot and windy days.
And don't shoot into tall grass, rock backstops, or metal targets.
Exploding targets are NOT allowed on public lands or national parks, and can cause sparks in any situation.
Be safe when you recreate this summer, and remember, fire sense is common sense!
