It takes a lot to get New Yorkers to stand outdoors in subfreezing temperatures, but the Trump administration’s onslaught on the Stonewall National Monument mobilized a crowd to Christopher Park as activists hoisted a large Pride flag to the flagpole.

Dear friends-- we must watch out for the Utah State Senate hearing on 𝐇𝐁𝟏𝟗𝟑 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 which proposes to prohibit Medicaid or any State agency from funding any medical treatment or procedure (and this would include Hormone treatments used by thousands of women and only a few trans women, trans men, and children).

Please help stop this devastating bill from passing! Call your state senator today and let him/her know you are opposed! You may follow the status of the bill at the link below, check for when the hearing is announced and show up. Let's stand up to support everyone in our community!!

Please reach out to your LGBTQIA+ friends -- we need to support each other during these stressful times. If you're like me, just having to be aware of more bills in the Utah State Legislature is giving me stress headaches.

We in the Utah Stonewall Democratic Caucus Board are aware of the added stress on all of you. We ask that you please attend the rallies if you can, that you join the Nationwide Strike tomorrow (Friday, January 30th) to honor those slain in Minnesota and to demand the ICE operations cease nationally. We also ask that you volunteer-- either join us on the Board for regular monthly mtgs, and/or help Democratic candidates who are gearing up to run for office here in Utah this November. If you are not mobile, you can help making phone calls, and of course every dollar helps us to get good Democrats elected.
