🔥 House Fire 🔥

At approximately 11:30 p.m. last evening, UFA crews responded to a reported house fire in Taylorsville City Hall.

Upon arrival, firefighters found smoke coming from the home. Crews quickly located the origin of the fire in the basement and initiated an offensive fire attack, successfully containing the fire to the basement and preventing it from spreading to the rest of the residence.

There were no reported injuries to any occupants or firefighters.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Thank you to our crews and Taylorsville Police Department for their quick response and coordinated efforts.

🚒 House Fire Response 🚒

Earlier today, firefighters responded to a residential structure fire in Herriman.

Crews arrived to heavy smoke and fire from the garage and an RV parked next to the garage. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the fire, preventing it from spreading further into the home. While the garage and RV sustained significant damage, firefighters were able to limit the fire's impact to the interior of the residence, resulting in only minimal damage inside the home.

The occupant was helped to safety by Herriman City Police Department officers prior to firefighters' arrival. During the incident, crews also rescued one cat from the home and reunited it with its owner.

No injuries were reported.

Thanks to Bluffdale City Fire Department, South Jordan City Fire Department and West Jordan Fire Department for the assistance.

We are grateful for the coordinated efforts of responding personnel and for the quick actions taken by the occupant. This incident serves as an important reminder to ensure smoke alarms are working properly and to have an evacuation plan in place for both family members and pets.

The Mobile Fleet Mechanic must be able to perform major and minor tune-ups, maintenance (including welding), and safety inspections, on gasoline, diesel, and other mechanical equipment. Must also be able to work on manual transmissions, differentials, suspensions, chassis systems, cooling, and fuel, electrical and hydraulic systems. Fleet mechanic will be responsible for both heavy and light fleet vehicles and will regularly respond to locations outside of a shop environment to make mobile repairs. This position is required to participate in after hours and weekend call-out on a weekly or monthly basis.
