*A mother who has lost so much, but has never stopped fighting.*

María Susana Murga Culqui knows the pain of losing those she loves most. First, she lost her husband to a brain aneurysm, and some time later, she had to say goodbye to her father and mother. Amid so much grief, she was left to care for her two daughters, Yoselin Vanessa and Fiorella Noemi. Later, she received another difficult piece of news: she was diagnosed with diabetes.

But even though life has taken so much from her, there is one thing she has never lost: her love for her daughters and the hope of giving them a better future.

Today, the three of them are participating in the Eagle Condor Humanitarian Self-Sufficiency Training Program in Cajamarca, Peru. Their dream is to start a family business that will allow them to get ahead and build a life filled with new opportunities.

Behind this mother lies difficult nights, irreparable losses, and a strength born of love. Her story reminds us that even when life seems to break our hearts, we can still find reasons to get back up and keep fighting.

María Susana cannot change what she has lost, but she is determined to fight for everything she can still build alongside her daughters.

SELF-RELIANCE THAT TRANSFORMS LIVES

Since April 2025, when we launched our Self-Reliance Program in the regions of Arequipa, Ayacucho, and Huancavelica, we have been committed to supporting families and communities as they build a future with greater opportunities.

Today, that effort is beginning to translate into tangible results. 🌱

This week, we completed the implementation of new income-generating initiatives in the district of El Tambo, Ayacucho:

🥬 Chalhuamayo: vegetable production.
🐖 Santa Rosa: establishment of a pig farm.
🍲 San Juan: launch of a community food service business.
🐔 Andrés Avelino Cáceres: establishment of an egg-laying chicken farm.

These initiatives represent much more than businesses: they are tools to generate income, strengthen skills, and create new opportunities for families.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 120 families are continuing their journey toward economic self-reliance, progressively improving their quality of life while strengthening the development of their communities.

This work is made possible through the collaboration and commitment of Eagle Condor Humanitarian, Rotary, and local governments, united by a common purpose: to create sustainable opportunities and contribute to the economic and social development of families in Ayacucho.

✨ When a family develops skills, generates income, and achieves self-reliance, it doesn't just change its own story—it transforms its community as well.

🎓🌱 A goal achieved!

109 seniors from Baños del Inca, Cajamarca, successfully completed a five-month Self-Sufficiency Course, gaining the knowledge to grow their own food and create new opportunities for their households.

This achievement was made possible thanks to Eagle Condor Humanitarian and the District Municipality of Baños del Inca, working together for the well-being of the community. 🤝

💚 We continue to sow knowledge, opportunities, and self-sufficiency.

*🌱 109 seniors successfully graduated from the Self-Sufficiency Course! 🎓*

After 5 months of learning, hard work, and dedication, 109 seniors successfully completed the Self-Sufficiency Course, gaining the knowledge and tools to improve their diets and grow their own food.

As part of this phase, we distributed seeds, which each participant can use to start growing their own crops and achieve a projected harvest of up to 3 metric tons of food per person. 🌱🥕🥬

This achievement is possible thanks to the commitment of Eagle Condor Humanitarian, in partnership with the District Municipality of Baños del Inca – Cajamarca, as part of an agreement that brings development opportunities and tools to our community. 🤝
