Caucus Night is tomorrow! I am so excited to gather with our House District 41 community members at Canyon View Elementary to talk about the issues that are important to you and start organizing for this crucial election year. I hope to see you there from 6-8 PM!

My first bill passed out of committee this week! HB 313 promotes water conservation by requiring certified landscape contractors to complete continuing education on drought tolerance, effective water management, and fire risk management every two years. On to the House floor!

I’m excited to have two new numbered bills, one of which will increase transparency for renters, and another which will protect per-student funding for our public schools! These are both very important issues that I’m proud to work on.

🚨HB196: CHARLIE KIRK BOULEVARD🚨

This bill takes sole jurisdiction and authority over city roads away from municipalities so that Harvey Milk’s name can be replaced on 9th South with Charlie Kirk’s 😳

Who else is ready for a better tomorrow?
WE READY!!šŸ™ŒšŸ¼āœŠšŸ¼

Last Friday, the Salt Lake Tribune reported that for the first time in Utah history, Republican state school board members met in a closed-door caucus.šŸ¤”The root of this problem are PARTISAN elections for state school board members, and the only solution I see to this problem is an amendment on our next ballot enshrining nonpartisan elections for state and local school board members in the Utah Constitution. šŸ™ŒšŸ¼Believe me, the last thing I want to think about is the next election, but I love public education and our kids need this ā¤ļøSo, I don’t know about you, but I’m ready for a ballot initiative!

Students, teachers, and families must come first—above partisan politics. Let's prioritize education and create a future where every child can succeed.

I’m honored to receive the endorsements of organizations and labor unions across the state who share my commitment to ensuring every student has access to a high-quality education. Their support fuels our mission to stand up for kids, empower educators, support families, and build a brighter future. Together, we will continue to push for policies that put our children’s success and well-being at the forefront.
