Say hello to the Sugar House Community Garden Little Free Library! Books and access to food are two things important to me. ❤️ It is at the community garden where we are lucky enough to rent a plot. We were able to put this library up as an added resource.
If you are in the park, feel free to stop by and pick up a book.

Participate in our Book Buddies Program! This is the perfect volunteer opportunity for children and a way to sooth a shelter pet.
Benefits:
The program will help children improve their reading skills AND will help the shelter pets with socialization. Animals find the rhythmic sounds of a voice very soothing. Similar programs at other shelters across the country have seen the benefits the program has to offer.
Volunteer opportunities available during regular business hours: Tuesday-Saturday from 10AM - 6PM at 511 W 3900 S.

Did you know...there is a Free Little Library AND a Free Little Pantry in front of our Campus on 800 South? Stop by to donate a book or nonperishable food item, or borrow/take as you need. Our hope for the pantry is to stock it with donated basics (think rice, pasta, beans, canned soups, etc.) to make this food available to passersby who may need it. Paired with fresh, free produce from our Public Pick gardens (also on 800 South), a visit to Campus can yield a nutritious meal.
A giant thank you to the Morris family (pictured) for powering the creation of the library and pantry - everything from design and construction to installation!

Today starts off Universal Letter Writing Week! Every year, during the second full week of January, you are encouraged to take up pen and paper and write to someone.
Though it is easy to drop a text or email, there is nothing like receiving a hand written letter in the mail. If you do write to someone and find you enjoy the activity, check out InCoWriMo (International Correspondence Writing Month). InCoWriMo is a challenge to hand-write and mail/deliver one letter, card, note or postcard every day during the month of February.
The Vickmorr Little Free Library is a neighborhood book exchange. Our library is a historical nod to the Utah Territorial Prison, Sugar House, 1855-1951. The library is made out of recycled materials from our local Habitat for Humanity ReStore. We run entirely on donations and your support.
What better theme for our library than education to expand the mind? We are excited to steward the next generation of open-minded thinkers by exposing them to words and their imaginations to lofty places.
"Free your mind" by pulling out the books within and read!
