Wallace Stegner Academy The Wallace Stegner Academy is a tuition-free, publicly funded, college preparatory charter school serving grades K-10. Enrollment begins January 1st, 2016.

The average American who holds a 4-year bachelor's degree can expect to earn an average of ONE MILLION DOLLARS more during their working life than a person with only a high school diploma. The high-paying jobs of the future will require a high level of education and it is vital for every American student to achieve this goal. The Wallace Stegner Academy prepares students for their future college studies and for the jobs of the future. Check out our events page to come to an informational meeting, starting in October.

Dear parents, this is Anthony Sudweeks, co-founder and CEO of WSA. I need to tell you all something very important. Our biggest expense outside of payroll is the enormouse cost of our buildings. Meanwhile, Salt Lake City and Granite school districts are sitting on closed schools for years. These are tax payer funded buildings that are empty. WSA has thousands of students on our waitlists, but we just don't have the space!

Please call your Granite or Salt Lake board members and ask them let a public charter school like WSA use these buildings and give more students the opportunity for a better education.

Salt Lake City School District officials are asking residents to weigh in on the future of three former elementary school properties.
