Still a long way from free agency but it's better than it was.
The Legislature passed a bill in a special session last month that pulled the government out of the distribution system and also greatly increased the patient protections available to medical cannabis users.
We've been involved every step of the way to make sure the law does what we all agreed to—making sure that patients aren't treated as criminals.

Utah is trying so hard to control legal medical ma*****na that it's still going to be less cumbersome and less expensive to buy it on the black market. ....or legally in Wendover or Mesquite.
Many will buy it legally once so that their possession can be justified legally and then purchase it illegally.
The state of Utah will likely lose more and more money and will require more and more from tax payers to subsidize their infrastructure.
We're glad that there's a legal path for Utah patients that's being carved out.....but basic economics and human nature will still prevail.
