According to new research co-led by the University of Utah School of Medicine, a new kind of CRISPR that destroys cells rather than gene editing them has shown potential for killing sick cells while leaving healthy cells untouched. The technology could treat viral infections and cancer.

We are saddened by the loss of Karen Haight Huntsman, businesswoman and matriarch of one of Utah’s most influential philanthropic families.
