The programs in the ASU Center for Security Studies (CSS) strive to produce cross-culturally compete Air Force language, culture and intelligence requirements.

ASU’s Center for Security Studies (CSS) will produce cross-culturally competent students able to understand and influence outcomes in support of American national security objectives. The CSS will work with and directly benefit active duty military and civilians by providing a program to complete their undergraduate degrees and by offering research opportunities on existing and emerging U.S.

A number of prospective student employers will be attending, including - for the first time at ASU - the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA). NGA hires career civil service officers (including several ASU alumni) as well as paid interns from a variety of backgrounds in locations across the United States. SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY FOR JUNIORS

This scholarship is for rising juniors for their junior and senior years at a TX or OK College or University.

The SUMNER FOUNDATION Scholarships are $15,000/year for each of those last two years of undergraduate work ($30,000 total) to cover tuition, on-campus room and board, fees, and books. Students must be U.S. citizens and permanent residents of TX, OK, LA, MO, NE, NM, AR or KS. Scholarships will be awarded in the spring of 2022 to be initially be applied in the fall of 2022, but applications are open now.

The application for the At-Large Sumners Scholarship is available online: www.sumnersfoundation.org. The application deadline is April 19, 2022 at 5:00 PM CST. The pool of applications will be narrowed down and interviews will be conducted in May of 2022.
