Every Now and Zen... we wear TEAL! 🩵

Slow down, settle in, and show your support. Join us on April 7th for a gentle, restorative yoga class as we observe Teal Day.

This class is designed to help you unwind and re-align your nervous system through supportive poses and calming breath. No experience (or flexibility!) is required—just an open heart and maybe a splash of teal.

All proceeds go towards sexual assault survivors in our community.

✨ Rest Assured: This is a safe space for healing and regulation.

Why teal?

Teal is the official color of Sexual Assault Awareness. It represents healing, strength, and solidarity with survivors.

Teal is more than a color -- it's a movement.
A movement to break the silence, support survivors, and create change.

Wearing teal is a simple yet powerful way to raise awareness about sexual violence and serves as a visible way to say:
You are not alone. We see you. We support you. We believe you. 💙

Move with intention. Give with heart. 💙

This April, we are turning awareness into action. In honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month, four of our local studios are uniting for a special "Mind Body Connection" fundraiser series to benefit Open Arms Advocacy Center. Healing is a journey that can begin with reclaiming our own strength through connection and movement.

Every week, a different studio will host a donation-based class designed to foster peace, resilience, and community support. All proceeds go directly to Open Arms Advocacy Center, ensuring we can continue providing 24/7 advocacy, free counseling, and lifesaving services for survivors across the Concho Valley.

How to Join:
🗓️ Dates: April 7th, 14th, 24th, & 27th (See "Check Availability" for times & locations)
📍 Rotating Studios: Lionheart Yoga & Fitness, Mandala Den, Good Movement - University, and Ballet San Angelo
🎟️ Admission: Ticketed by Donation (Suggested donation of $20 per class)

Who We Are & What We Do

Open Arms has been serving the Concho Valley over 25 years. We began as a program of the Mental Health Mental Retardation (MHMR) Services in the late 1980’s. In 1991, in response to increased need for services, Assault Victim Services (AVS) broke away and became incorporated.

We've been acknowledged as a superior organization on several occasions. In 1990, AVS was honored to receive the Governor’s Award for the Outstanding Crime Victim Assistance Program in Texas. In 1992, the Winged Victory Award in the field of prevention from the Child Abuse Intervention Training Project followed. The Texas Association Against Sexual Assault presented AVS/Open Arms staff with Educator of the Year three times, in 1999, 2002 and 2014. In 2017, TAASA awarded Open Arms with the Community Empowerment Award.

In May 2005, Assault Victim Services changed its name to the Concho Valley R**e Crisis Center. On 2016, When CVRCC saw the need to serve the Concho Valley’s LGBT+ community, we became Open Arms R**e Crisis Center and LGBT+ Services.
