I had a productive discussion today with Iceland’s Ambassador to the United States, Svanhildur Hólm Valsdóttir, and a visiting trade delegation. We talked about geothermal innovation and energy policy with Texas Geothermal Energy Alliance. Iceland leads the way on geothermal—and when we embrace an all-of-the-above and below energy approach, everyone wins.

WTX Lawmaker, Jurist, Robert A. Junell Dies 11/01/2025

Clarisa and I are deeply saddened by the passing of Judge Robert Junell, a dear friend and an exceptional public servant. Robert dedicated his life to the people of West Texas, from his years in the Texas House to his service on the federal bench. His wisdom, integrity, and steady hand earned the respect of all who worked alongside him.

Yesterday, I had a great time providing a legislative update to the Concho Valley Republican Women! 🇺🇸

I was also honored to present Texas flags to CVRW in recognition of their many awards at the Texas Federation of Republican Women last weekend and to Lou Brown, a pillar in our community, for receiving the TFRW Legacy Leadership Award. Congratulations to all! 🎉

Big things are happening in Texas energy! I had a great time on the legislative panel at the Texas Nuclear Summit last week. This year, Texas made historic investments in nuclear—driving innovation, reliability, and a stronger future for our state. ⚛️⚡️

This morning, I had the distinct privilege of presenting Texas flags flown over the State Capitol to three outstanding Texas Game Wardens stationed in House District 72 who were honored at the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department’s Pinning and Awards Ceremony in Austin.

They are Sgt. Lee Morrison of Coleman County, recipient of the Special Operations Game Warden of the Year award; Jacob Crumpton of Concho County, recipient of the Medal of Valor; and Keegan Moore of Runnels County, recipient of the Director's Life Saving Citation.

Their dedication and courage in serving our communities and protecting our state's natural resources make us all proud. Congratulations to these three and all the honorees on their well-deserved awards. I am grateful to all our Game Wardens and law enforcement personnel across Texas for their service and sacrifice.
