Our “Faith & the Future of America” Roundtable last week had a record crowd, respected guests, and raised our awareness of how faith intersects with politics. THANK YOU to Luis Urteaga for facilitating the discussion; to pastors Ryan Buck, Joel Moore, Craig Meyers, and John Pope for participating, and to everyone who came to listen, learn, and engage in the discussion!

Mark your calendars for our next meeting, April 15th, when Tyler Johnson from the Tom Green County Appraisal District will lead us in a discuss on Property Taxes & how to protest them.

The future of the Tom Green County Republican Party will be shaped by those willing to step up and lead—and we are currently seeking qualified, committed individuals to serve as County Chair.

This is more than a title. It is a strategic leadership role at the center of local elections, candidate development, and party growth.

What the Role Requires:

A registered voter in Tom Green County
Alignment with and participation in the Republican Party
The ability to meet official filing requirements during the election cycle

What the Role Demands:

Leadership of the Republican Primary Election process from start to finish
Oversight of candidate filings, ballot procedures, and election coordination
Appointment of election judges and collaboration with county officials
Direction of County Executive Committee (CEC) meetings
Recruitment, support, and organization of precinct chairs
Strict adherence to Texas Election Code and party rules
Serving as the key link between local, state, and election leadership

This role requires organization, integrity, and the ability to lead both in public and behind the scenes. Those who do it well don’t just manage a party—they shape its future.

For a full outline of responsibilities, please review the official Texas Secretary of State document:
