My kids love summer time because it means sleeping in more, and trips to the coast and the lake and times to spend with friends and family. πŸš΄β€β™€οΈπŸ– But you want to know why I get excited about summer? Lol. Every kid of mine gets a promotion to more challenging chores around the house. LOL. πŸ˜πŸ˜„πŸ‘

Summertime means an opportunity for further growth as they get older. So whether it's learning how to mow the lawn, how to wash clothes or dishes. Or a simple responsibility like making sure the refrigerator is always full with water bottles. It's their growth I look forward to the most.

I know many parents can relate! What do you and your kids look forward to the most during their summer vacation? πŸ˜ŽπŸˆπŸŒžπŸ€

What a year! πŸ˜„

Another one in the books for many teachers. And another one in the books for our kiddos, parents and guardians. I want to thank all teachers everywhere for your continued dedication to our children's future! Our children go as far as you help guide them. But now it's your turn to take and enjoy a great long break!

To all of you, enjoy your summer vacations! πŸ–πŸ˜ŽπŸ«Ά

You deserve it! πŸ™πŸ™ŒπŸ’†β€β™€οΈπŸ’†β€β™‚οΈ

Wow! We made it across the finish line! 🏁 We don't lose, we learn. πŸ’― I want to thank many friends, family, and community members who supported my campaign and my efforts! πŸ™ This was such a great journey for me that I cannot express or put in to words.
I am proud of myself for putting myself out there and meeting many like minded community members who expressed love & support and who have so much pride for our beloved . I also want to keep encouraging you all to continue getting involved in our children's schools and become a voice for others!

Remember, some ask for change while others inspire it! πŸ’ͺ So go be great for you and yours! See you soon!

Today is Election Day! Do you have any friends or family who live in our HISD district? Bring em out! Let's hit the polls! We need you!

With your support and vote, I look forward to push my vision which includes.

- Providing more resources for our students and families.
- Working together with our teachers, staff, and school community to make decisions that positively impact our students and school campuses.
- Providing a transparent open line of communication with our schools and community families.
- Enhancing job training and staff recruitment efforts.
- Expand out of high school opportunities for students.
- Work to bring the concerns of our students, families, teachers, and staff to the front of the board’s priorities.

This weekend I got two separate calls from two different HISD teachers. Both whom I've known for many years. The first one told me "I'm glad you decided to run, we need you" and wished me the best of luck in my campaign. πŸ™Œ The other one, was from a teacher who wanted to share with me that "enough is enough, I cant do this anymore" and shared it was time for her to move on to another district. 😞

Now as difficult as it is to hear this and try not to feel some sort of emotions when I get these notifications is hard. But the reality is we have a lot of work to do. Our teachers and staff need more transparency and consistent support! If elected I look forward to bringing our district teachers concerns and obstacles to the front of our priorities. We go as far as our teachers and staff can take us. We need to make sure teachers concerns are addressed and relationships are fostered. Early voting is around the corner! April 24th-May 2nd and Election Day is on May 6th!
