Quijotes of San Antonio is teaming up with Healing the Children Texas for a golf tournament on April 11, 2026—and we’re looking for more teams to join us!

Sonrisas Oaxaquenas is a nonprofit started by Dr. Rafael Medina Banos in 2010 that provides dental care and makes dentures for those in need in Oaxaca and surrounding small communities. He and his team have provided over 5000 dentures to needy patients in exchange for a donation of blood to their local hospitals! He states that he was inspired to create his organization when he started volunteering with Quijotes of SA many years ago; realizing the great need of the poor for dental care.

Once again, students and faculty from the Medical, Dental, Nursing, and Nutrition ( new collaboration) schools of Oaxaca joined us to provide care for their fellow Oaxacans!

We were blessed to have 2 of the Sisters from Incarnate Word and psychiatry NPs on our team; providing spiritual and psychological care.

The data that is collected and entered generates the information used to estimate needed medications, supplies, providers , AND is used to solicit funds through grants.
