Congrats to our sim team for winning GSACEP’s SIMWARS competition for the THIRD YEAR IN A ROW! Our residents dominated all other military residencies once again! This year’s scenario was a role II MASCAL involving multiple polytrauma’s and an injured military working dog. Shoutout to Drs. McKeegan, Hegedus, Gorr, and Collins for the win! (And Dr. Ramirez for his excellent walking wounded acting skills)
It’s no surprise our residents are top in simulation! Our residents work in the DoD’s only Level I trauma center, lead our trauma resuscitations. We have a robust military unique curriculum that trains our residents to function at JOINT Role I, II, III medical care and joint en route care (to include MWD’s). Also, our residents have access to the military’s only resident scholarly tract program for EM simulation - getting access to simulation research opportunities, additional faculty development in simulation, case creation, and national simulation competitions.
If you want to be among the TOP military emergency medicine residents in operational simulation, email [email protected] today!
