We're going to need a bigger trophy case!

Under the guidance of their coach, Drill Sergeant Cemone Jones, both of our Delta Company basketball teams brought home trophies during the METC Student Basketball season.

Our "Diamondbacks" team brought home the regular season runner-up trophy. While our "Strike First" team brought home both the regular season first-place trophy and the overall tournament champion trophy!

What a fun night!

The 264th Medical Battalion's Student Council hosted a Karaoke night for all of the students within the Battalion! Students cheered each other on as they sang their favorite songs. Events like this allow the students to take a break from their academic studies and boost morale and camaraderie.

It's even more special when it is planned and executed by their peers!

This month, we had the pleasure of recognizing not one but two of our 68A instructors in front of their students!

SFC Avila and SSG Britton were recognized with Commander's Coins for Excellence for their work both inside and outside the classroom.

Not only are they devoted to the education of their students, but they also utilize their own personal time to provide the soldiers with additional mentorship, professional development, and physical fitness assistance.

SFC Avila is also coaching our student volleyball team. Stay tuned for their achievements on the court in the near future!

What a special treat! LTC Colón and LTC Budd spent some time this morning speaking with the Diamondbacks. LTC Colón spoke to our Soldiers about animal-therapy and its positive impacts on stress management, anxiety, depression, and even pain. LTC Budd enjoyed his back scratches and belly rubs while our Soldiers got a natural boost of serotonin…a win-win!

Yesterday, 264th Medical Battalion Commander LTC Colon presented SPC Huynh with the Army Achievement Medal. SPC Huynh earned the award for his selfless service at Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center during Hurricane Helene.

EAMC suffered significant structural damage, loss of power, no air-conditioning, and loss of water. Due to safety concerns, patients were evacuated to other hospitals. SPC Huynh was amongst the soldiers that assisted in the continious care of patients, transfers, and evacuation efforts.

SPC Huynh came to Delta Company to complete his 68J Medical Logistics Specialist training shortly after Hurricane Helene. It is always a great day when we are able to recognize the efforts of our Diamondbacks and let them know that their actions really do matter.
