Opportunity Home K-12 Students: Get Rewarded for Classroom Success! 🌟

Applications are now open for Opportunity Home’s Rewarding Educational Achievement and Cultivating Hope (REACH) Award.

Students in grades K-12 participating in Opportunity Home housing programs may qualify for up to $100 based on their final 2025-26 report card.

To qualify, students must:

Live in an Opportunity Home Public Housing household or receive assistance through the Housing Choice Voucher program
Earn A, B or A/B final grades
Have perfect attendance recorded on their report card

Celebrate fathers and father figures at the annual Father’s Day Fiesta hosted by the San Antonio Fatherhood Campaign.

This FREE community event will feature food, live music and family-friendly activities.

Opportunity Home offices and properties will be closed Monday, May 25 in observance of Memorial Day. Regular operations will resume on Tuesday, May 26.

Public Housing residents with an emergency work order during the closure may call 210.477.6800.

Housing Choice Voucher participants should contact their property management office for emergency maintenance needs.

Twenty-seven residents from our Public Housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs reached important milestones in their careers, education, finances and homeownership journeys through years of hard work and persistence.

Every path looked different, but each graduate continued moving forward while balancing work, family and everyday responsibilities.

We’re proud to celebrate their accomplishments and thankful to the staff, families and supporters who encouraged them along the way. 💙

Beginning May 18, the City of San Antonio - Municipal Government will host Community Conversations across the city focused on affordable housing efforts and neighborhood investments. 🏘️

Everyone is welcome to attend, learn more and share feedback.
