To close out Navy Spiritual Readiness Month, Sailors from NIOC Texas participated in a joint service 3-mile hike organized by NIOC Texas Chaplain Lt. Christopher Wagner.

Soldiers, Coast Guardsmen, and Marines, from local units joined NIOC Texas Sailors for the event, coming together to focus on connection, reflection, and resilience. Throughout the hike, participants broke out into small groups to discuss key spiritual readiness topics, share perspectives, and strengthen bonds across services. The event highlighted the importance of taking time to reflect, support one another, and build inner strength alongside physical readiness.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this a meaningful conclusion to Spiritual Readiness Month. The collaboration, thoughtful discussion, and camaraderie on display reinforced the importance of spiritual readiness as a key component of overall mission readiness.

Surrounded by family, friends, and Shipmates, each Sailor was frocked and recognized for their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence. Last Friday was all about competition and camaraderie as NIOC Texas hit the field for our CUBS’ Cup! (formerly the Captain’s Cup) Sailors from various departments faced off in a relay race, planks, bench press, push-ups, and squats. They brought the energy and gave it everything they had.

When the dust settled, 30 Department took home the overall win! 🏆

Big shoutout to everyone who came out, pushed themselves, and cheered on their Shipmates. Events like this aren’t just about fitness, they build teamwork, pride, and a stronger NIOC Texas.

“GO NIOC TX CUBS!”
