Excited about the new Brewer Ocean Conservation Lab at the San Antonio Zoo, which I had the chance to attend the ribbon cutting of yesterday.

The lab will focus on coral restoration and research, with a touch tank and a closer look at the work our zoo’s team is doing to protect reefs here and around the world. Thank you to the Brewer family, whose gift in honor of R.P. Brewer III made it possible.

This morning we raised the rainbow City of San Antonio flag over City Hall. San Antonio is a city for everyone, and that’s not going to change.

Recently I got to join Rainbow Gardens to celebrate a major milestone: Fifty years of growing more than gardens. Congratulations to Rainbow Gardens on five decades of gardening education, environmental stewardship, and community building in San Antonio. 🌱

Congratulations to our District 7 awardee, Rose Ramos, who had planned and decorated recent events that brought the Doris Griffin Senior Center to life, from its 10-Year Anniversary to Hispanic Heritage Month.
