Team,
AFOMS reminders:
1. Start hydrating now. The heat is fierce out here! It’s a different Sun! 🌞
2. Remember to fill out your tax exempt form upon check-in. Ask at the front desk and they will provide you a form.
3. For those needing shuttle service from/to airport, the shuttle runs 0600-1400. To arrange a ride call the front desk at 210-377-3900. If you arrive after 1400 you can take an Uber/Lyft/cab etc. and present your receipt to the front desk at check-in and they will reimburse you up to $25 (no double dipping claiming it on your travel claims 👀).
Safe travels as you head this way⚓️

Team,
🚨AFOMS SAVE THE DATE: 26-29JUN, SAN ANTONIO, TX🚨
After extensive research concerning venue options at different locations, that could support the dates of 26-29June, we have landed on the same venue we used last year in San Antonio. We were almost there with JAX but then they signed another contract last minute with a competing organization. We will continue to pursue Fleet concentration areas in the future.
-Please start spreading the word so people can save the date and start planning and booking hotel rooms.
-Continue to solicit for instructors that are able to support their own command funds to attend. We are very limited on funds to pay for instructors travel so priority to those that can source local funding. HMC Paul McCullough is our lead on building the curriculum and attaining instructors, so please reach out to him at [email protected]
-For room reservations, directly call Marriott Reservations at 1(800) 228-9290 or (210) 377-3900 on or before Thursday, 8 June 2023, (the “Cutoff Date”) to make their sleeping room reservations. Please advise guests to identify themselves as part of the AFOMS group staying at the San Antonio Marriott Northwest, located at 3233 NW Loop 410, San Antonio, TX 78213-2866.
-Link to book online forthcoming. Will push it out as soon as I get it.
-Once the conference package is officially approved, we will send out the official GENADMIN.
Standing by if there are any questions or concerns.
