Healing Hearts Treatment Foster Care

Treatment foster care provides more than a bed and safe home for our children. As a result of the trauma and abuse/neglect they have been through, many of our children possess emotional and/or behavioral conditions that require specialized therapy and more supervision. As a foster parent, you receive extensive skills-based training and continued, 24/7 support. When the state investigates an allegation of abuse and/or neglect and the home is found to be unsafe for a child, the state assumes custody of the child and places them in to temporary foster care while the family of origin works through a plan to regain custody. Your job as a foster parent is to provide temporary care for the child while their birth family works toward reunification.
