SUMMER FUN // On the last day of school, we gave each staff member a duck to take with them on their summer adventures to document! 🦆📸

TALENT SHOW // Our Annual 5th Grade Talent Show was completely student-led from start to finish! From lights and backstage crew to every amazing performance on stage. 🌟🎭🎶

We were blown away by the singing, dancing, magic tricks, comedy acts, biking skills, piano performances, and so much more. The creativity, confidence, and teamwork shown by our 5th graders made this an unforgettable show. 💚

A very special thank you to our wonderful 5th grade teachers for supporting and encouraging our students every step of the way, and to our amazing music teacher, Mrs. Rodriguez, for helping make this show such a success. 🎵

We’d also like to thank our custodial staff for preparing the cafeteria and helping create the perfect space for this special event. 🦄

SUPPLY LISTS 2026-2027 // It’s hard to believe we’re nearing the end of this amazing school year and already planning for the next! 🦄✏️✂️📓📎🖍️

While we are in no way rushing the prepping and planning of the new year, we wanted to share the supply lists for each grade level!

Our goal was to simplify the process for families by including only the items we know students will need regularly. We also hope this tailored list helps save money and reduces the number of unused supplies that are often sent home at the end of the year.

But first.. we hope all of our Unicorns enjoy the summer & soak up the quality time with their loved ones! ☀️🍉

BOOK CHARACTER DRESS UP // Today our halls were filled with creativity, imagination, and a true love for reading as students brought their favorite characters to life for Book Character Dress Up Day! 📚✨

We are so proud of our readers for diving into stories, connecting with characters, and sharing their love of books in such a fun and meaningful way. 🤍

A special thank you to our amazing teachers who continue to foster a love of learning, encourage imagination, and inspire lifelong readers every single day. What a wonderful celebration of literacy and learning! 🤗

BLUEBONNET CELEBRATION // Our Bluebonnet Readers Party was a hole-in-one!⛳📚

Thanks to the creativity of our incredible librarians, Ms. Lussier and Mrs. Durrett, our library transformed into an amazing mini golf course inspired by the Texas Bluebonnet books! 🏌️

Students putted their way through stories, celebrated their reading achievements, and had a blast bringing books to life in such a fun and unforgettable way. 💚📚

STUDENT SPOTLIGHT // So proud of our talented first grader, Maddie, who received two medals for her artwork created this year! 🎨🏅

Maddie’s hard work, creativity, and imagination earned her the highest score at the Texas Elementary Art Meet and the prestigious “Top of TEAM” award — an honor given to only 10% of top-scoring students!

We are beyond proud of this amazing accomplishment and can’t wait to see where her artistic journey takes her next. ✨👏

SENIOR WALK // Our Class of 2026 seniors walked the halls of Northwood one last time, before walking the stage. 🦄

It was a full-circle moment filled with smiles, memories, and so much pride. We are cheering them on as they take their next steps toward an exciting future. Once a Unicorn, always a Unicorn. 🎓✨

4TH GRADE FIELD TRIP // Our 4th graders stepped back in time at Bradley Middle School’s Mill Springs Cabin!

Students learned all about Texas history, pioneer life, Native Texans, chuckwagons, rock art, and life on the frontier! 🤠📚🏕️

What an unforgettable hands-on adventure!

5TH GRADE POOL PARTY // Our annual 5th grade pool party was a SPLASH! 🎓☀️💦

Students celebrated their big accomplishment with a pool party full of laughs, memories, and cannonballs! 🏊‍♂️🎉

RETIREMENT CELEBRATION // Northwood Elementary proudly celebrates the retirement of Mrs. Howe and Mr. Bills. 💚🦄
