It takes a village to raise, support, and educate our students, and we are grateful to be part of the incredible village here at Wagner High School.

Today, the Wagner Band Program was proud to provide breakfast for the amazing teachers and staff of Wagner during Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you for the love, guidance, and care you pour into our students every day. We appreciate you more than words can say!

We would like to thank our transportation department at Judson ISD for everything they do! Thank you Mr. Earl Stewart and Ms. Christina Bravo for always being so helpful to our program and our campus, we appreciate you guys more than you know!

Today, Saturday, April 25th, all three Wagner High School Jazz Bands competed at the 63rd Annual Fiesta Jazz Festival held at St. Mary's University. This historic and prestigious event took place over 2 days with jazz ensembles from various universities, middle schools, and high schools in attendance. Wagner Jazz was very fortunate to earn several recognitions for their efforts!

Lastly, a single high school student from amongst the hundreds of students from all 3A, 4A, 5A, and 6A programs is selected as the overall Outstanding High School Performer. This student must recieve a unanimous recommendation from all three judges. We are ecstatic to share that our very own All-State jazz bassist, Fabian Salazar, was selected for this notable award! Fabian has continued to be a pillar in the jazz program and we appreciate him greatly for his dedication and diligence.

Our next event where you can catch all three jazz bands will be at our jazz spring concert on Tuesday, April 28th at 6:30 pm in the Wagner High School Auditorium. We hope to see you there!

Fiesta Battle of the Flowers Parade! Thank you all so much to everyone who helped make it possible and showcased our collective strength. Thank you, parents, for always keeping our students safe and fostering a spirit of community. We have the absolute best boosters, who truly inspire us all!

Continuing with Jazz Appreciation Month!

On Saturday, April 11th, Wagner Jazz Band 1 and Jazz Band 2 competed at the 5th Annual Churchill Jazz Festival. The students have been hard at work to give their best performance of the season yet. Fortunately, both jazz bands did exceptionally well and earned a SUPERIOR rating from all judges.

Each group also placed in their respective categories!

Then, we had a total of SIX Wagner Jazz members recognized as OUTSTANDING SOLOISTS!

LASTLY, of all the featured high school soloists of the festival only one was selected as the High School Most Outstanding Soloist, as Wagner Jazz was honored that the judges selected our very own Fabian Salazar on bass! Fabian is truly a dedicated individual that puts in work daily to refine his soloing skills.


We are so appreciative of all our Wagner Jazz students on the positive representation of the program, our school, and the community. The next and final jazz festival where you can catch all three jazz bands will be at the St. Mary’s University Fiesta Jazz Festival on April 25th. We hope to see you there!

⭐️STAAR DAY!⭐️

Wagner High School Spirit Squad went to multiple elementary campuses across Judson ISD to wish everyone good luck on their upcoming STAAR Test. The band shared three very valuable tips with all of the elementary campuses.

✨Tip #1 - Get some good rest! It’s important that students go to sleep at a good time the night before in order to be able to focus on the day of!

✨Tip #2 - Get some good breakfast! Like athletes, students must have the proper fuel in their bodies to perform at their highest potential. Having a good breakfast will ensure that.

✨Tip #3 - Try our best! This is a serious test; we must use all of our strategies and take our time answering each question. Today is the day we prove to the state of Texas that we have the best teachers here at Judson ISD!
