Aid the Silent To glorify God by empowering deaf and hard-of-hearing children and teens through access to communication, education, resources, and community.

Aid the Silent was created to help thousands around the world find information about living in today’s society as a deaf or hard-of-hearing individual, to learn about Jesus’ word and to inspire people to embrace their differences. Aid the Silent is dedicated to equip deaf children/teens with the necessary tools and resources to help them find personal success. Through commitment and prayer, Aid the Silent dedicates its efforts to providing a platform to raise funds for deaf ministry, deaf research, deaf education and deaf resources. Deaf Ministry: Through our sponsorships deaf children/teens will have the opportunities to attend Christian camps and events. Deaf Research: Funds collected will support organizations that dedicate its efforts to finding treatments and technological advancement that benefit the deaf. Deaf Education: Monies accumulated will support the deaf community through educational institutions and programs by providing funding to train deaf educators. Deaf Resources: Through community donations, Aid the Silent will be able to provide the deaf and hard-of-hearing with equipment and services. We raise the necessary funds to provide HOH/deaf children/teens the tools and resources to help them find personal success. Whether that be through resources such as FM systems or hearing aids, through resources such as speech therapy or learning ASL, or through learning about Jesus through Deaf Young Life meetings and camps. We provide six areas of resources:
1.Hearing Aids
2.FM Systems
3.ASL Lessons (family or individual)
4.Speech Therapy
5.Send HOH/deaf children & teens to faith-based summer camps
6.Deaf Young Life: nondenominational Christian ministry that reaches out into the lives of teenagers to present the Gospel. Deaf Young Life is geared to HOH /deaf teenagers, run by a h HOH /deaf leader with HOH /deaf volunteers as well as volunteers who have a heart for HOH /deaf community. Deaf Young Life events are fully HOH /deaf accessible with captioning & interpreting thus creating a place of unity for the entire community.

💗 Empowering teachers through education. Supporting students through understanding. 🦻

One of the most requested topics from the teachers we serve has been cochlear implant technology.

Many educators have students with cochlear implants in their classrooms, but the technology itself can sometimes feel unfamiliar. Teachers want to understand the devices their students use, how they work, and how they can better support their students throughout the school day.

We were so grateful to have Cochlear Americas present to our teachers, giving them the opportunity to learn more about cochlear implant technology, ask questions, and build confidence in supporting their Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. 🦻✨

When we equip teachers with knowledge, that impact goes right back into the classroom—and directly to the kids they serve. 💗

A moment we will never forget.

It had been five years since Xzavier received new hearing aids.

Now, during his senior year of high school, we had the privilege of fitting him with new hearing aids and sending him into this next chapter of life with some of the best hearing technology available. ✨

Watching his face light up as his new hearing aids were turned on was unforgettable. And getting to share that moment with his grandparents—who have been there cheering him on—made it even more special. 🥹💗

This is such an important season for Xzavier. Graduation is ahead, and with it comes new opportunities, greater independence, and a whole world waiting for him.

We are so grateful that Aid the Silent could make sure outdated hearing technology didn’t have to follow him into that next chapter.

Five years later. New hearing aids. Senior year. A future full of possibilities. 🦻✨

Meet Eder!

Before his hearing support, Eder was very isolated, even from his own siblings. His mom says that's changed a lot. Lately he's been spending more time with kids his age, and even though learning a new language has been slow, hearing better has made all the difference.

💗 Back in South Texas, and the excitement is real! 🦻✨

We were so excited to return to the Rio Grande Valley for another day of serving Deaf and hard-of-hearing children and their families!

From hearing testing and ear molds to preparing for hearing aid fittings, each step helps connect kids with the technology, resources, and support they need to thrive. đź’—
None of this happens alone.

We are incredibly thankful for our Valley partners at DHR Health, Driscoll Children’s Hospital, A+ Audiology, and UT Rio Grande Valley who work alongside Aid the Silent to make this care possible.

It takes a community of providers, organizations, and supporters coming together to create greater access to hearing healthcare for children across South Texas. 🦻💗

Celebrating Kaitlyn today! 🎉💗

At 16 years old, Kaitlyn is already working hard toward a bright future. She is an A/B student, takes dual-credit Business Management classes through St. Philip’s College, and has continued pursuing her education while navigating a significant change in her hearing.

After experiencing hearing loss in a short period of time, Kaitlyn needed access to hearing technology that could help her stay connected in the classroom, with her friends, and in the world around her.

Today, we got to celebrate as she received her first pair of hearing aids! 🦻💗

We hope these hearing aids give Kaitlyn more than access to sound—we hope they give her confidence as she continues chasing her goals, pursuing her education, and becoming everything she is capable of becoming.

Her mom has fought hard to make sure hearing loss does not stand in the way of her daughter’s future, and we are honored that Aid the Silent gets to be one small part of Kaitlyn’s pathway.

To every donor and supporter who makes moments like this possible: thank you. You are helping incredible young people like Kaitlyn have access to the technology and resources they need to keep moving forward. đź’—
