HBCU Pre-College Summer Programs are not playing out here. Alabama State University, Trenholm State Community College, and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund are bringing you the SOAR Program. This is a free, again free one week residential program for 100 current high school juniors who will be seniors Fall 2024. Students will learn about HBCUs, college admissions, financial aid, and scholarship resources. The program runs June 23 - 28. Tuskegee University Summer Program

Listen, if you’re going to be in the 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade in Fall 24 and want to be a veterinarian, Tuskegee University has you covered with a Free, let me say that again, a Free.99 weeklong residential summer program. You heard me right. The Vet 1 program for rising 9th & 10th grades runs June 3rd - 7th and Vet 2 program for rising 11th & 12th grades runs June 24th - 28th. Both are hands-on programs. To apply, you need a 3.0 GPA, 200 word essay about why you want to be a veterinarian, two recommendation letters from a counselor and your current science teacher, and your official transcript. Sidebar, for now, Tuskegee is the only HBCU with a veterinary school and about 75% of Black veterinarians in America are Tuskegee graduates. That part!
