The Elite Bass Club was established in 2010 and is based out of San Antonio Texas. We like fishing our local lakes but love fishing new water. We have one day or two day monthly club tournaments, meet quarterly, and our members vote on the lakes we will be fishing the following year at our end of the year meeting. Some of the lakes we fish include Buchanan, Canyon, Choke Canyon, Coleto Creek, Dunl

The 2026 season of Elite Bass Club will begin at Canyon lake on Jan. 3 at ramp 1. As long as the ramp is open. The Feb. 7 tournament will be at Dunlap ramp to be determined. All tournaments begin at 6:30 to 3:00. We are a two person team format but can fish without a partner. Fee is $50 a person ($100 team or if you fish alone it’s $50). If you fish with someone under 17 they do not pay an entry.
If you guide on the lake that month you are not eligible for the club tournament.

The Westall Bro’s go back to back, winning again on beautiful Lake Amistad! Numbers are easy but keepers and especially size over 2lbs is hard to find right now! Grass is sparse, water is dropping, blue bird skies and it was hot as hell….tough tough conditions! Congrats to Team Westall bringing 2 limits to the scales for a 2 day total of 21+ as well as big bass of 4+. 2nd was taken by Team Guevara/Hanchey with 2 limits for 20+. Our next tourney will be on Stillhouse. If you’re looking for a club don’t be shy, please reach out. We are always accepting new members.

Falcon=tough fishing right now! It was hot and it was brutal to try and get bites this weekend. The lake has come up and there is miles and miles of newly flooded vegetation but the consensus is the fish are just not in it…….yet!

Join us next month for a one day on Colleto Creek.

Elite had our Championship tourney this last weekend on OH Ivie. The wind was brutal for those who showed up to practice and the bite was tough for most during the tourney. Some good bags were brought in by a few teams on Saturday and then Sunday the bite got even tougher. Congrats to Jon and John for a big comeback bringing 24+ to the scales to take the win and $1,700!! 2nd was taken by Team Westall with 22+. 3rd and big bass with a 10+ goes to Jeff and Frankie! Over $4000 was paid out for our Championship. There is still plenty of time to join and make at least 6 tournaments to qualify for next year’s Championship. Join us next month at Choke Canyon.

It was a very crowded LBJ with 4 different bass tournaments going down this weekend. We figured close to 200 boats just in those 4 tourneys not including pleasure crafts, yachts, guides and fun fishing boats! Along with the crowds of vessels and fishing lines the wind blew making it tough to get to or see bedding fish. Team Jara/Hines took first with 4 fish for 14+ and big bass honors with a 5.45. 2nd went to Team Westall Jr bringing 5 to the scales for 11+. We’ll be on Ivie next month.
