Opened in July 1993, the 15-acre Pear Apple County Fair was an amusement park that featured more than 200 games, rides, two miniature golf courses and other play areas. In October 1997, however, the park announced that it was shutting its doors -- with all of the company's rides, games and equipment being sold at auction.
