HHC 1-141 Mortar Platoon

Exactly 1 year apart. As of right now this will be his last annual picture.

Over the last few days your HHC 1-141 Mortar platoon have been busy.
The real story starts back in January of 2023 when a consolidation of all Battalion Mortar assets were combined and supplemented with 3rd Battalion 141 Infantry Soldiers. These individuals have spend months prepping for gunners exams and running through drills to arrive at this moment. More than half of them have never conducted a live fire outside of Basic Training. They have taken all the skills they have sharpened them.
Bronte the 🦕 has returned to show support and motivate these Mortarmen in their mission. Had was welcomed with open arms but those who knew him previously and showed some of the new guys the way.
This platoon is moving on to bigger missions in the ongoing view of preparedness for anything that may need our expertise.

Today we congratulate SGT Mauricio Paco Olivera on his promotion. SGT Olivera has been a great asset to his Platoon, Company and Battalion. His fellow NCOs look forward to expanding his knowledge and watching him grow even more as a leader. He will now lead his own gun crew as Gun 1 NCO.
