Honored to represent the Heart Gallery of South Central Texas and THRU Project today at First Baptist Church La Vernia during Foster Care Awareness Month alongside Dr. Wendy Knox, Nevetta King, and Dr. Kane Jaggers with SJRC Texas & Belong and Bill Morang with CASA of South Texas .
Thank you to First Baptist Church of La Vernia for hosting us and for helping raise awareness about the urgent need for foster and adoptive families across South Central Texas. It was wonderful connecting with community members and sharing the mission of the Heart Gallery and the importance of ensuring every child has the opportunity for permanency, love, and belonging.
Grateful for the partnerships and collaboration that continue making a positive impact for children and youth in foster care.

Nobody tells you how overwhelming adulthood can feel at 18.
The bills. The pressure. The uncertainty. Thatโs why mentorship matters.
At THRU Project, we make sure young adults aging out of foster care have guidance, support, and someone in their corner when life gets hard. ๐
No one should have to figure it all out alone.

๐ What an incredible day of collaboration, compassion, and community for children, youth, and families impacted by foster care!
A heartfelt THANK YOU to the amazing community partners who joined alongside the Christ Coalition or this yearโs Foster Care Awareness Event at Christian Family Church San Antonio
From churches and nonprofits to advocates and service organizations, dozens of partners came together to share resources, ideas, and a collective commitment to making a difference in the lives of youth and families connected to foster care. ๐
We are especially grateful to the CHRIST Coalition for the opportunity to have THRU Project & Heart Gallery of South Central Texas CEO Leonard Rodriguez address the assembly today and speak about the importance of community support, connection, and hope for young people transitioning out of foster care.
Together, we are stronger. Together, we are changing lives. ๐
