I am deeply saddened by this morning’s news of the passing of Judge George P. Kazen. He was the very model of a just and tempered jurist. The judiciary and our community is forever guided by his service and wisdom.
Condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. May he Rest In Peace.

The Honorable Stella Ortiz Kyle, the first female to be appointed Presiding Judge in San Antonio Municipal Court, has passed.

Dr. Kyle, then a clinical psychologist, worked with Veterans at Audie Murphy VA Hospital before getting her law degree at St. Mary’s Law (‘87), all while raising two toddlers.

May she RIP.
