Spreading the love of God with a sandwich.

31/03/2026

If you’ve ever felt the pull to do more, to step outside the walls and be the hands and feet of Jesus…this is your moment.

You don’t need a stage to minister. Just a willing heart.

Our next PB&J Day is happening SATURDAY, APRIL 25th at 12 PM 🙌

What started as something simple, a sandwich, a smile, a moment, has become a place where lives are touched, faith is lived out, and people are trained to serve on the frontlines of compassion.

PB&J Days is more than handing out food in downtown San Antonio.

It’s about meeting people where they are…with dignity, love, and consistency.

🥪 A sandwich becomes a bridge.
🙏 A conversation becomes ministry.
❤️ An act of service becomes transformation.

Here’s how you can step in:

1️⃣ Sponsor
With just $20, you can help provide 84 PB&J sandwiches for someone in need.
You’re not just giving food—you’re helping create an encounter.
👉 Walmart Registry: https://www.walmart.com/registry/er/2ebcb7bb-005e-4bdb-9a05-034afc9d73e4

2️⃣ Serve
Come out and serve with us in San Antonio.
No experience needed, just a heart willing to love people.
📍 We meet at The Center for Health Care Services (along Medina St.)

3️⃣ Start
Feel called to launch something like this where you are? We’ll help you do it.
Download our media kit or connect with us at pbandjdays.com 📦

This isn’t just outreach.
This is training ground.
This is ministry in motion.
This is how we reach people: one moment, one meal, one conversation at a time.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to step out…this is it.

Let’s spread the love of God with a sandwich. 🙌

Saturday was a special PB&J Day. 🙏🥪

It honestly felt like being in a live classroom, taught by the Lord Himself, and we soaked it all in. 📖

Before we even began serving, we were stopped by a woman who simply asked, “Can we pray together?” She and her group had also come downtown to serve our unhoused neighbors. Moments later, another woman approached us, not for food, but for prayer as she waited for a medical facility to open, unaware it was closed for the day. 🏥🙏

God began opening conversations, highlighting people, and creating moments we never planned. Throughout the day, it became clear that He was teaching us in real time. 🙌📖

One lesson we discussed was from Acts 17, where Paul was troubled by the idols surrounding him. Yet when he spoke at the Areopagus, he didn’t lead with frustration. Instead, he connected with the people through something familiar: the altar to the unknown god. Paul found common ground in order to introduce them to the true God. 🏛️📜

Evangelism begins with connection. 🤝

Evangelism deepens through Paul’s teaching in 1 Corinthians 9:19–23, where he speaks of becoming all things to all people so that some might be saved. This isn’t about losing our identity, but about intentionally walking with others and connecting with them where they are. ❤️‍🩹

That lesson came alive for us Saturday. 🙏

We saw familiar faces, people we’ve served and prayed with for months. There’s joy in recognizing them, but also heartbreak in realizing they are still struggling. We continue to pray that God provides stability, resources, and restoration in their lives. 🕊️

Before we began the day, I shared that evangelism is a lot like Forrest Gump’s famous line about a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get. 🍫

Saturday proved that true.

Unexpected moments.
Unplanned conversations.
Real lessons from the Lord.

Grateful for every opportunity to serve. 🙏❤️

Last PB&J Day of 2025: Love Always Wins ❤️🥪

What a way to close out PB&J Days for 2025.

After stocking our food pantry, we quickly formed two assembly lines:

One for PB&J lunches.

One line for 40 care bags filled with hats, gloves, toiletries, and essentials.

Soon after, Tyrone, Devon, Misha, and Jasmine from Spirit Filled Family Church jumped in, helping us finish strong. Teamwork in motion. Body of Christ in action.

By midday, it was time to head downtown, and it was packed.

Our usual spot had cars lined up down the street. Everywhere we looked, people were serving.

That’s a good problem.❤️

We connected with Elder Scottie Boyd, our PB&J Day OG Alex Grant, and regrouped to adjust our ministry approach.

Once set, the 17 blankets from Kim Warren’s ministry initiative were gone almost immediately. Thank you for meeting such a real need.🙏

Then came the moments that stay with you.

We prayed with Veronica, who is battling Stage 4 terminal breast cancer and preparing for another round of chemo in January. We prayed believing God meets us right where we are.

Then there was Jerome, wearing a beige City of San Antonio hat and matching jacket. He said he was just seeing what he could find before driving home. Didn’t think much of it.

Until later.

A familiar voice yelled, “Hey!”

It was Maria. Earlier this year she had five dogs.
Today? Sixteen.

She asked me to pray…for the dogs. When I tried to pray for her, she stopped me and said, “No… pray for the dogs.”

It was good, and heartbreaking, to see her again.

As we were packing up, Jerome came back. This time looking like he’d won half a carnival. He had on a fresh knitted Santa hat and a big smile. After chatting, he headed off.

A few minutes later, we watched him drive by in an old Cadillac, rolling into the day.

Busy.
Blessed.
Grateful.

And finally, thank you to Ally and Eric Salem, continued supporters of PB&J Days. Your steady generosity helps turn compassion into action, and we are truly grateful.

Love always wins. ❤️

Our final PB&J Day of 2025 is COMING SOON‼️🙌

We’re excited to host our final PB&J Day of 2025 on Saturday, December 20th at 12 PM!

As temperatures drop in San Antonio, we’re teaming up with our sister Kimberly Warren to provide blankets and warm clothing for our homeless and transitional neighbors. Kim carries a deep heart to serve, and her vision aligned perfectly with what PB&J Days is all about.

(Don’t tell her… but I call it “Love Covers All.” 😉❤️)

If you’d like to give, we’ve created two gift registries where you can sponsor a blanket or cold-weather item and directly impact someone in need.

A PB&J Day to remember.

San Antonio gave us one of those perfect, breezy days 🌬️☀️ that practically begs you to do something meaningful. So we answered with PB&J Day.🥪❤️

We had the joy of teaming up with our friends from Spirit Filled Family Church in Cibolo 🙌🏽, and together we were able to share the love of God with nearly 150 people. Along the way, we prayed 🙏🏽, laughed 😂, encouraged 💛, and yes, felt our hearts pulled in a hundred different directions by the stories we heard and experienced.

And then came Sister Gloria.

She first approached us wearing a long hooded jacket, sunglasses 🕶️, and enough energy to power a small city.⚡ She shared her excitement about ministering with us someday, grabbed a few items, and left.

A few minutes later, she reappeared. Minus the sunglasses, and hair now tied in a scarf. More items, another smile, and off she went.

We wondered, “Well, what’s her next look going to be?” 👀

And sure enough…round three.

This time: circle-framed glasses and a sleeveless jean jacket. A whole fashion trilogy in under twenty minutes.

We served her with love, while trying not to let our laughter give away that we knew exactly who she was each time.🤭

But it made me think. How often do we approach God in our own series of disguises, changing something about ourselves each time we come back, as if He won’t recognize us? When all along, He sees us, knows us, and welcomes us just as we are. ❤️‍🩹

We don’t know if this was our final PB&J Day of 2025, but we’re grateful for every opportunity to share God’s love, not as two churches, but as one body.🕊️ And when we lift up the name of the Lord together, we can see Him drawing hearts closer, one sandwich at a time.❤️🙌

…and so it begins.

Today was PB&J Day, but we’re calling it Naomi Day! 🥪❤️

Even though Mom and Zamora couldn’t come, Naomi still wanted to go out and help serve. With 122 lunches and water bottles💧, we hit the streets to bless our community.

The first person we met was Miss Christina. She asked for prayer 🙏, and Naomi and Alex were right there to pray and encourage her 💬💛. Later, Miss Christina came back just to thank Naomi for being so kind and listening to her. 🥹

Naomi didn’t stop there. She kept handing out lunches, water, and asking people if they needed prayer. 🥪💦🙏

She showed us all that you’re never too young to serve and show love to others. 💪🧡

I’m so proud of her and thankful that she also had people speak life and love into her heart today. 🌟

Let’s keep shining bright and spreading kindness—just like Naomi did today! 💫✨
