๐ฏ๏ธAirmen and civilians from across Joint Base San Antonio gathered at Freedom Chapel for a Memorial Day observance hosted by the 502d Air Base Wing Chaplain Corps, joining together in remembrance of those who gave their lives in service to the nation.
๐ค During the multi faith ceremony, attendees were invited to place stones at the Battlefield Cross, a tradition of remembrance symbolizing that those who served are never forgotten. Members of the JBSA community paused in reflection to honor the fallen and the freedoms secured through their sacrifice.
๐ In his closing remarks, 502d ABW Chaplain Lt. Col. Jeremy Bastain encouraged attendees to โleave the sorrow here, but take the memories with you,โ reminding the community that the legacy of the fallen lives on through the way we serve and care for one another each day.

May the 4th be with you...and with our flightline! The crowds have gone home, the jets are tucked in, and our Airmen are making sure the flightline is just as sharp as the show itself. No job too big, no wrapper too small--that's the USAF way. ๐
Thank you San Antonio for an AMAZING air show weekend! โ๏ธ๐ช
