Library gets visit from wild bunch The Brook Hollow Library on the North Side got a little wild when the Happy Tails mobile petting zoo set up shop Tuesday. As patrons mingled with a wallaby, a lemur and more, they got the opportunity to learn about the animals' behaviors and species conservation efforts.

A special event is taking place at another SA library today. Beloved former English Professor John Igo from SAC has a birthday today.
The John Igo Library is named after him. And the special event today is a reading of the play "Tomorrow and Tomorrow" from his new book ""Quantum." Quantum is dedicated to his dear late friend Alice Geron of Watercress Press who published a number of his books.
The reading is today at 2 pm at the John Igo Library. Two of the main characters today will be read by the president and vice president of the Friends of the Library of the Brook Hollow Library.
We love our Brook Hollow Library. Visit often. I have a favorite thing I like to do: check out lots of books that look good. Bunches sometimes. Take them home. Skim through -- and keep the ones I feel I can't live w/out. Return others.
Spend some time delving into those. Skim deeper. Find one or two I really want to read and return the rest.
It's a fun and quick way to get an education of sorts, especially if I include a few new releases in there. Then I can see what's trending at the time.
