Dear Friends,
Thank you to all of my neighbors and District 10 constituents for your support.I just want to take this opportunity to say that running for City Council was an incredible, awesome experience, and I am humbled by your support and friendship.I love my neighborhood and look forward to continuing to be a strong advocate for our community.
I, as do you, want a representative of our area who is both principled and representative. During the campaign, I know Ezra Johnson lobbied in our neighborhood with a positive vision for the district with enthusiasm and honesty. Due to his dedication and truthfulness, I've decided to encourage my supporters to follow me and rally behind Ezra. I endorse him for City Council without reservation.
We need strong bi-partisan leadership from someone who actually cares about Oakpark/Northwood and District 10. Ezra demonstrated this when(among other things) he attended our emergency tax meeting and went as far as ensuring the officials directly tied to the appraisal process were present so that residents could learn their rights and options as taxpayers. In addition, my wife and I both witnessed him approaching voters in our neighborhood with a sincere message to represent all of us despite any differences.
In short, Ezra Johnson is the is the right choice for our community and he has my full support. I look forward to working with him in the future to get things done for our community and ensure our voices are heard in City Hall.

We were almost overwhelmed by the turnout at our Emergency Property Tax Meeting! Thank you to the nearly 250 neighbors who attended and asked questions about their rights and options as tax payers.
Ben Schoenbaum and Tax Assessor Collector Albert Uresti spearheaded a great discussion. Excited about moving forward and making sure people are informed about their rights and how to protest.
Special Emergency Property Tax Meeting:
"Friends and Neighbors,
As you know, we have all received our property tax appraisals and it has caused great concern amongst our friends and neighbors.
Like he has in the past, our immediate past President, Jonathan Delmer, has stepped up once again and taken immediate action to advocate for the neighbors of Oak Park Northwood and District 10.
He’s called up our friend Tax Assessor Collector Albert Uresti, and arranged a Town Hall meeting to help residents understand their rights and learn what options are available to them.
So please come out to St. Andrews United Methodist Church at 722 Robinhood Place tomorrow, Thursday, May 4th at 6 p.m. and learn your rights and options.
Thanks to Albert Uresti for his rapid response to this issue and for coming out to work with the residents of District 10.
I hope you’ll join us tomorrow. Light refreshments will be served."

To my neighbors in District 10:
I am sure many of you were shocked to open your tax bills and find out that the value of your land skyrocketed -- 20 to 100 percent overnight!
Like many of you, I was beside myself when I learned my land value had surged by 72%!
This isn't the first time we've seen this kind of of behavior from our elected leaders, and personally, I'm tired of it.
In July of 2015, SAWS drastically inflated the water bills of residents living in seven different neighborhoods in District 10, and charged them an exorbitant amount for water usage.
So I advocated for over 200 of my neighbors and fought to bring the erroneous bills to SAWS attention.
SAWS discovered that none of the water meters had been read in over TWO MONTHS, which resulted in their computer system producing drastically inflated bills.
For six weeks, I worked hand-in-hand with SAWS officials to ensure all my neighbors' charges were corrected.
In October of 2015, SAWS sent ten customer service agents to the Tobin library to make sure all billing issues across District 10 had been resolved.
Well, it looks like I'm going to have to take on the Bexar Appraisal District next.
Yet another example of lack of leadership at City Hall.
Let's get out and vote District 10!!!
