We’re hosting a meet and greet with U.S. House Candidate John Lira in the SU this Thursday at 5:30! Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and share about policy issues that are important to them. We’ll be out there until 8:30, so be sure to stop by!

Mr. Lira is a combat veteran and UTSA alumni who has been endorsed by the San Antonio Express-News in the Democratic primary for U.S. House District Tx-23. His passion for advancing public policy has lead him to work at the National Commission on Military, National, and Public Service and the U.S. Small Business Administration. Tomorrow, DPUTSA will be hosting a Netflix Party where we’ll watch Immigration Nation! We’ll be starting at 6:45, and we’ll be using the chat function on the Netflix Party google chrome extension.

He will fight for racial and environmental justice, protect the Affordable Care Act, provide leadership in a pandemic, and work towards making college education affordable for students.
