On behalf of everyone at Ingram Event Center, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks for joining us as the Chief Guest at the grand opening of our Event Center last night.

We are especially grateful that you took the time to attend despite it being your wedding anniversary. Your presence on such a special personal day truly meant a great deal to us and reflects your generosity, commitment, and support for our community.

Your inspiring words and thoughtful speech added great significance to the evening and made the celebration even more memorable for everyone present. Your encouragement and support mean a lot to our team as we begin this new journey with the Ingram Event Center.

To know Bert Pickell was to love and respect him. I had the great honor to get to know Bert and appoint him to some city boards, where he was a fierce advocate for our older San Antonians and our park system. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. Rest in peace, my friend. You lived a life full of service to our community and our country.

US-funded contraceptives for poor nations to be burned in France, sources say — Reuters U.S.-funded contraceptives worth nearly $10 million are being sent to France from Belgium to be incinerated, after Washington rejected offers from the United Nations and family planning organisations to buy or ship the supplies to poor nations, two sources told Reuters.
